Godzilla Minus Ones Budget Revealed 15 Million

Godzilla Minus One's Budget Revealed: $15 Million

Director Takashi Yamazaki Confirms Budget, Disputes $15 Million Claim

Film Earns Over $23 Million Worldwide

Tokyo, Japan - Toho Studios has revealed that the budget for their latest Godzilla film, Godzilla Minus One, was approximately $15 million, confirming a fan-reported figure but disputing claims that it was exactly $15 million.

Director Takashi Yamazaki, who wrote, directed, and created the visual effects for the film, had previously hinted at the budget being "somewhere in that ballpark" but declined to give a specific number. In a recent panel discussion, he cast doubt on the $15 million figure, suggesting that it may have been slightly higher or lower.

Despite the modest budget, Godzilla Minus One has been a critical and commercial success. The film has already surpassed $23 million in worldwide box office revenue, more than doubling its budget. Its success is attributed to its innovative visual effects, which earned it an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.

Toho Studios has not officially disclosed how much the film cost to make, but the $15 million figure has been widely reported by fan accounts and industry sources. The film's budget is considered modest for a major Japanese blockbuster, especially given its extensive use of visual effects.
